Concrete Laborer

Position Summary

J. Callahan Concrete is seeking dependable, hardworking Concrete Finishers and Laborers to join our growing team. In this role, you will assist with a variety of residential and commercial concrete projects, including decorative and functional flatwork, monolithic slabs, sidewalks, driveways, equipment pads, demolition, site preparation, and grading.

Starting at $20.00 per hour, with opportunities for advancement and increased compensation based on experience and performance, you will play a vital role in delivering quality craftsmanship while maintaining a safe, productive, and professional job site.

Primary Responsibilities

• Assist with concrete forming, pouring, finishing, and curing
• Perform general construction labor on residential and commercial job sites
• Assist with site preparation, grading, and material layout
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and equipment safely
• Saw cut concrete as directed
• Load, unload, and organize materials and equipment
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites
• Read and follow project plans and blueprints when applicable
• Work efficiently with crew members to complete projects on schedule
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures, in accordance with OSHA standards

Job Requirements

• Valid government-issued photo ID
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and able to provide I-9 employment eligibility documentation
• Reliable transportation to and from job sites
• Valid U.S. driver's license preferred
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work
• Ability to work Monday through Friday, with occasional early mornings, extended hours, or Saturdays depending on project demands
• Previous concrete or construction experience is preferred but not required for motivated candidates willing to learn
