Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee field operations for commercial construction projects. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day job site activities, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all on-site construction activities from project start through completion
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel
- Maintain project schedules and ensure milestones are achieved
- Enforce safety standards and ensure compliance with OSHA and company policies
- Conduct daily site inspections to ensure quality and adherence to plans/specifications
- Collaborate closely with Project Managers during all phases of construction
- Lead job site meetings and communicate progress with stakeholders
- Manage site logistics, material deliveries, and equipment coordination
- Identify and proactively resolve field issues and conflicts
- Maintain accurate daily reports, schedules, and documentation
Qualifications:
- 5–10 years of experience in commercial construction, with superintendent or field leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, and safety practices
- Proven ability to manage subcontractors and job site operations
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
- OSHA 30 certification preferred
- Experience with commercial or institutional projects strongly preferred
