Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately construct cabinets and related fixtures.
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and install cabinetry using a variety of hand tools and power tools.
- Fabricate custom components through woodworking techniques, ensuring precise fit and finish.
- Install cabinets, fixtures, doors, trim, siding, and other woodworking elements on construction sites or in manufacturing environments.
- Perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks required for handling materials and assembled units.
- Apply finishing techniques such as caulking, sanding, staining, or painting to achieve polished surfaces.
- Collaborate with project managers, designers, and other tradespeople to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining safety standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in cabinet making, woodworking, or related construction trades with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings; familiarity with CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machinery is a plus.
- Skilled in using hand tools (e.g., chisels, saws) and power tools (e.g., drills, sanders) safely and effectively.
- Knowledge of construction estimating, framing carpentry, trim carpentry, metal stud framing, drywall installation, and fixture installation.
- Experience with construction site work including rebar installation, concrete forming, masonry or roofing is advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during fabrication and installation processes.
- Familiarity with restoration industry practices such as mold remediation or water damage restoration is beneficial.
- Strong understanding of schematics related to electrical or plumbing systems when integrating cabinetry with functional utilities.
