J BLACK FINANCIAL GROUP is a growing boutique wealth management firm focused on delivering comprehensive, relationship-driven financial planning. We are seeking an Associate Service Advisor to support our advisory team and help deliver a high-quality, detail-driven client experience.
This is not a purely administrative role. It is designed for someone who is detail-oriented, intellectually curious, and capable of operating in a client-facing environment.
You will be embedded in the core of the business, supporting client relationships, preparing for strategic conversations, and ensuring execution aligns with the level of service we uphold. Over time, this role creates visibility into comprehensive wealth management and a path toward deeper advisory responsibility for the right individual.
The firm provides comprehensive, fee-based financial planning and investment advisory services, including retirement planning, risk management, and long-term wealth strategy.
Client Experience & Execution:
• Serve as a primary point of contact for client service needs, ensuring timely, accurate, and thoughtful responses.
• Manage follow-through on client requests, coordinating across internal and external partners as needed.
• Maintain detailed and accurate client records, ensuring all documentation and communication is properly captured.
Advisor & Meeting Support:
• Prepare meeting materials, reports, and agendas in advance of client conversations.
• Participate in client meetings as appropriate, capturing key takeaways and ensuring next steps are executed.
• Support advisors in delivering a consistent, high-quality client experience across all interactions.
Operations & Internal Coordination:
• Support servicing of investment and risk management strategies, including account maintenance, coordination of insurance solutions, and follow-through on client-related actions.
• Partner with team members to ensure workflows are completed efficiently and without gaps.
• Contribute to process improvements that enhance team efficiency and client experience.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
• Industry licenses (Series 6, 63, 65, 66 or 7)
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through without oversight.
• Clear, professional communication skills (written and verbal) in a client-facing environment.
• High attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and accountability
• Demonstrated ability to operate with discretion and maintain strict client confidentiality.
• Professional judgement and a consistent ability to act in the best interest of the client.
• Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and follow-through.
Preferred:
• Experience within wealth management or financial services.
• Familiarity with financial planning concepts, investment accounts, or insurance products
• Life & Health insurance license
• Experience with CRM systems, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, OneNote, OneDrive, etc.) & Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, etc.)
