Our company is currently seeking a Bookkeeper to join our team!
We are a family-owned, full-service CPA firm located in Lexington, South Carolina. Our services include corporate tax, individual tax, bookkeeping, payroll, accounting, assurance, and consulting services. Our main focus is on small businesses and to help them with the financial stresses that come with owning their own business. We pride ourselves on communication with our clients and being responsive in a timely manner while also being personable, professional, and courteous.
This person will be responsible for all Bookkeeping duties for our clients. During our busy season, you will also will also help the tax department with obtaining information from clients and assisting in administrative tasks. We are a small business looking for a person that would like to grow with the company.
We are looking for someone that will take pride and responsibility in their work with a positive attitude, and one who is looking to learn and expand their bookkeeping skills. We will hire and train the right candidate!
Typical duties would include, but are not limited to:
- Data entry
- Bank reconciliations
- G/L journal entries
- Maintain client monthly records
- Some financial statement preparation
- Simple input of non-complex data into tax software
- Development of Trial Balance
- Creating 1099s
- Other duties assigned by Supervisor
Technical Qualifications:
- Comprehensive understanding of full-cycle bookkeeping, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, bank reconciliations, journal entries, and general ledger maintenance
- Familiarity with month-end and year-end close processes
- Experience preparing financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow)
- Tax preparation support experience is a plus
- Multi-entity or multi-client bookkeeping experience preferred
- Comfortable working with cloud-based accounting systems and client portals
Professional Skills
- Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple client accounts simultaneously
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- High degree of professionalism and discretion, especially regarding confidential client information
- Willingness to collaborate with CPAs, staff accountants, and clients directly

Pay: From $38,000.00 per year
