What are the responsibilities and job description for the Home Deliveries – Contract Carrier Opportunity position at J.B. Hunt?
** This opportunity is for established independent contractors with an active DOT & MC authority only. **
J.B. Hunt is expanding our Final Mile Services home delivery carrier force. We are looking for carriers that are interested in contracting with us to deliver and install fitness equipment and furniture in customer homes.
- $750 flat daily rate
- $3,750* weekly settlement
- Monday - Friday schedule. Some Saturdays may be available during peak seasons.
- Average mileage: 250 mi. radius
- 7-day payment terms
- Established customer base with consistent routes
- Access to third-party discounts for truck rental, fuel and tools
- Access to nationwide accounts
Carrier Requirements Include:
- Must live within 100 mile radius of facility
- Active US DOT & MC numbers
- Minimum two man team (all team members must pass background and drug screenings)
- Previous home delivery (white glove) experience
- Previous appliance delivery, furniture delivery and installation experience
- 26’ box truck with white box and cab (truck equipped with liftgate is a plus)
