This is a full-time, on-site role for a Tractor Technician based in Olathe, KS. The Tractor Technician will be responsible for performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on diesel trucks, engines, and other related systems. Daily tasks include routine inspections, diagnosing mechanical issues, replacing or repairing parts, testing systems and components, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Collaboration with a team and maintaining accurate service records are essential aspects of the role.
- Proficiency in diesel engine repair and maintenance, including troubleshooting and diagnostics.
- Hands-on experience with tools and equipment for repairing brake systems, electrical systems, and drivetrain components.
- Strong understanding of vehicle safety standards and compliance protocols.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools.
- Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and service managers.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills for maintaining accurate service logs and documentation.
- ASE certification or equivalent is strongly preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in Diesel Technology is a plus.
- Capacity to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy parts and working in various weather conditions.
- Prior experience as a diesel mechanic or tractor technician is highly desirable.
