JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a qualified Electrician to undertake a variety of tasks relating to the installation, maintenance and repair of electrical systems. You will be responsible for troubleshooting problems and fixing them in a timely manner. An electrician’s ultimate goal will be to ensure the overall running of the electrical system.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Install electrical wiring and equipment (e.g. switches, resistors, circuit breakers etc.)
- Connect wiring in electrical circuits and networks according to plans
- Prepare conduits, connect wiring and prepare ground according to plans
- Prepare and clean electrical conduits according to plans and regulations (e.g. removing trash)
- Test electrical devices and systems before finalizing their installation
- Install safety devices and control circuits to ensure adequate protection against dangerous risks
- Inspect and evaluate running systems or facilities to detect issues or defects
- Accurately complete daily reports and record all issues encountered
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven experience as an electrician or relevant role
- Excellent knowledge of electrical components, wiring methods and equipment
- Familiarity with various safety precautions and legal guidelines - OSHA
- Good understanding of basic computer skills and ability to work with software (e.g. Groundwork)
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour
