Duties
- Supervise daily warehouse activities, including shipping, receiving, inventory control, and materials handling to ensure timely and accurate operations.
- Lead and motivate warehouse staff, providing guidance on best practices in warehouse management, safety protocols, and process improvements.
- Oversee inventory management using warehouse management systems to mantain accuracy on existing products.
- Coordinate logistics for warehouse distribution, including 3PL (third-party logistics) providers, ensuring compliance with shipping & receiving standards.
- Conduct regular safety audits in accordance with OSHA regulations; enforce safe lifting techniques and mechanical knowledge for heavy lifting tasks.
- Implement process improvements to enhance workflow efficiency, reduce errors, and optimize space utilization within the warehouse.
- Manage forklift operations safely and effectively; ensure all team members are certified and adhere to safety guidelines.
- Maintain detailed records of inventory movements, shipment documentation, incident reports, and shift logs to support operational transparency.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in warehouse supervision or team management within a fast-paced distribution environment.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management, warehouse distribution, logistics, and materials handling processes.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems, and OSHA safety standards.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with the ability to operate forklifts safely; certification preferred.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster a collaborative work environment.
- Experience with distribution processes is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely; physical stamina for long shifts involving manual tasks.
