Overview
We are seeking dedicated and vigilant per-diem (on-call) Security Officers to join our security team for work assignments, events, and formal occasions . The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in security, law enforcement, or military service, and be committed to maintaining a safe and secure environment. This role requires excellent conflict management skills and the ability to respond effectively in high-pressure situations. Security officers will be on-call, substitute fill-ins, and assigned to events.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or other criminal activity.
- Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, and emergency situations, ensuring the safety of personnel and property.
- Conduct thorough surveillance using CCTV systems and other monitoring equipment to identify potential security threats.
- Enforce rules and regulations while maintaining a visible presence to deter criminal activity.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary, providing detailed reports on incidents and investigations.
- Provide first aid and CPR assistance as needed during emergencies, ensuring the well-being of individuals on-site.
- Implement loss prevention strategies to minimize theft and damage to property.
- Participate in regular training sessions to stay updated on security protocols, conflict management techniques, and emergency response procedures.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in security, law enforcement, or military service is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of surveillance techniques and equipment (CCTV).
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable.
- Excellent conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Familiarity with loss prevention strategies and practices.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong observational skills with attention to detail for identifying potential security risks.
