What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bus Aide/Transportation Driver position at J & M Transportation?
We are looking for a reliable and responsible individual to join our team as an Aide/Subsitute Driver This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children and values safety and punctuality. As an aide/minivan driver, you will be responsible for transporting students to and from school, extracurricular activities, and other designated locations. Must be 25 years or older.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely drive a minivan on a set route to transport students.
- Ensure timely arrival and departure from school or activity locations.
- Keep the provided minivan refueled, clean and maintained.
- Assist students in boarding and exiting the van as needed.
- Follow all traffic and safety laws, as well as company policies.
- Communicate with parents and school staff regarding transportation schedules and concerns.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass fingerprinting and drug screening.
- Ability to pass CTAA-Certified Passenger Service and Safety (PASS) basic training program
- Experience driving a van or larger vehicle is preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A friendly, patient, and professional demeanor.
- Must be reliable and able to follow a set schedule.
