Duties

• Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges while handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods with precision.
• Provide friendly and professional phone etiquette when answering customer inquiries or assisting with product information.
• Assist customers by demonstrating products, explaining features, and encouraging additional purchases through effective upselling strategies.
• Maintain attractive merchandising displays, stock shelves, and ensure the sales floor is clean, organized, and inviting for shoppers.
• Conduct product demos to educate customers about new or featured items, enhancing their shopping experience.
• Support inventory management by stocking shelves, conducting stock counts, and alerting management of low inventory levels.
• Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing questions promptly, resolving concerns efficiently, and ensuring a positive shopping environment.

Qualifications

• Previous retail sales or cashiering experience is preferred; supervisory experience is a plus for those interested in leadership opportunities.
• Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures to ensure accurate transactions.
• Strong communication skills in both English and bilingual capabilities to serve diverse customer needs effectively.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations quickly for cash register operations and retail math tasks.
• Experience with grocery store operations or familiarity with merchandising, stocking, and product demos is advantageous.
• Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to create a welcoming atmosphere for shoppers.

Pay: $8.50 - $12.00 per hour
