We are looking for a detail-oriented Part-Time Construction Estimator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing accurate material take-offs and labor estimates to help us secure new projects. This is a perfect opportunity for an experienced professional looking for a flexible schedule or a supplemental role.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Reviewing Plans: Analyze blueprints, specifications, and RFP documents to understand project scope.
- Quantity Take-offs: Perform detailed material and labor take-offs for residential and commercial projects.
- Cost Analysis: Research current material pricing and negotiate with vendors/subcontractors for competitive quotes.
- Bid Preparation: Assemble comprehensive bid packages and submit them within strict deadlines.
- Project Handoff: Provide clear documentation to the project management team once a bid is won.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in construction estimating.
- Software Savvy: Proficiency in excel (experience with QuoteIQ a plus)
- The "Eye": An eagle eye for detail—missing a zero can change everything.
- Communication: Ability to explain the "why" behind the numbers to clients and internal teams.
- Reliability: Even though this is part-time, our deadlines are firm. We need someone who hits their marks.
Schedule & Benefits
- Hours: Approximately 10-20 hours per week.
- Flexibility: Must be available Monday through Friday.
- Work Environment: Drive to potential job sites in Tyler and surrounding areas and complete estimates remotely.
Pay: $16.00 - $26.00 per hour

- High school or equivalent (Required)
