J&A Heating, Cooling, Plumbing, and Electrical is looking for a motivated Underground Plumbing Helper to support our underground plumbing team. This role is ideal for someone who is mechanically inclined, dependable, and ready to learn from experienced professionals.
Pay: $42,000 - $78,000 annually (hourly commission)
Location: West Mifflin, PA (servicing the Pittsburgh metro area)

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Assist with Installations & Repairs: Support lead technicians with the installation, repair, and maintenance of underground residential plumbing systems, including water and sewer lines.
- Job Site Support: Help with digging, trenching, material handling, tool setup, and cleanup to ensure jobs are completed safely and efficiently.
- Learning the Trade: Gain hands-on experience working with underground plumbing systems, tools, and materials while learning proper techniques and code requirements.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with lead technicians and other team members to complete projects on time and to quality standards.
- Customer Interaction: Maintain a professional and courteous presence when on customer job sites.
What You’ll Bring:
- Interest in plumbing or prior construction/trade experience preferred
- Willingness to perform physically demanding work in outdoor conditions
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and eagerness to learn
- Ability to follow directions and safety procedures
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Familiarity with tools or basic mechanical skills is a plus (but not required)
