What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Host/Hostess/Food Runner position at Izumi Woodstock?
Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Seat guests and provide them with menus
- Take food and drink orders accurately and efficiently
- Enter orders into the POS system and ensure accuracy
- Communicate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate delivery of food
- Assist with food service, including delivering food to tables and refilling drinks
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and concerns
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area
- Assist with opening and closing duties as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in hospitality or customer service preferred
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment
- Knowledge of food service procedures and safety regulations
- Familiarity with POS systems is a plus
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Positive attitude and willingness to help others
