Oracle HCM Functional Consultant
(Lead & Support Roles – Core HR, Payroll, Recruiting, Absence, Time & Labor, Benefits, Talent)
Role Summary - Provide functional consulting services for Oracle HCM Cloud as part of a staff augmentation team supporting a prime contractor. Resources will align with assigned modules and work under the guidance of Huron architects and project leadership.
EXPERIENCE TIERS:
Lead Functional Consultant
- 7–10 years total Oracle HCM experience
- 4–6 years specializing in assigned module(s)
- Multiple full lifecycle implementations (public sector or higher ed preferred)
- Able to guide support consultants, lead workshops, and drive configuration decisions
MODULE ASSIGNMENT AREAS
Each lead/support resource can be aligned to one or more of the following:
- Core HR
- Payroll
- Recruiting / Talent Acquisition
- Absence Management
- Time and Labor
- Benefits
- Talent Management
RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead-Level Responsibilities
- Drive requirements sessions and fit-gap analysis
- Configure module components and validate against business processes
- Coordinate testing, UAT, and issue resolution
- Collaborate with architects and technical resources
- Develop functional specifications and provide guidance to support staff
- Advise on best practices and change impacts
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
- Oracle HCM Cloud configuration tools
- Business processes relevant to assigned module
- Testing and validation methods
- Understanding of integrations, reporting, and downstream impacts
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Higher-ed or public sector experience Preferred
