TrueSight Automation Engineer
Job Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced TrueSight Automation Engineer to support enterprise-level infrastructure operations in a large, complex environment. This role is responsible for managing server patching, maintaining automation platforms, and ensuring system reliability across Windows and Linux environments.
The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in BMC TrueSight Server Automation (BladeLogic) and a strong background in automation, system administration, and enterprise infrastructure management.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead enterprise server patching and lifecycle management across Windows and Linux environments
- Plan, schedule, deploy, and report on patching activities to ensure compliance and security
- Serve as the System Administrator and Subject Matter Expert for BMC TrueSight Server Automation (TSSA / BladeLogic)
- Maintain and support TSSA infrastructure, including job configurations, compliance content, and workflows
- Perform system upgrades, troubleshooting, and ongoing platform maintenance
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using Bash, PowerShell, and Python to streamline operations
- Administer BMC Client Management (BCM) including software deployment, inventory tracking, and endpoint configuration
- Support BMC Discovery (ADDM) operations including scanning, configuration, troubleshooting, and data quality management
- Ensure accurate integration of discovered assets into the CMDB
- Manage and maintain CMDB and asset data, including reconciliation, normalization, and relationship mapping
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support infrastructure operations and continuous improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 12 years of experience in infrastructure engineering or related field
- At least 10 years of hands-on experience with BMC automation tools, including:
- TrueSight Server Automation (BladeLogic)
- BMC Client Management
- BMC Discovery (ADDM)
- Strong experience in server patching and lifecycle management in enterprise environments
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using:
- Bash / Shell scripting
- PowerShell
- Python
- Solid understanding of Windows and Linux server environments
- Hands-on experience with CMDB and asset management processes, including data reconciliation and relationship mapping

- Experience working in large-scale, highly regulated enterprise environments
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment
