DESCRIPTION OF THE POSITION
We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Senior Network & Infrastructure Manager with deep expertise in network architecture, security, and operations leadership to lead the design, delivery, optimization, and ongoing management of enterprise IT infrastructure across the Los Angeles office and Americas region. This role will serve as the technical authority for all networking domains, while also overseeing broader infrastructure technologies including servers, virtualization, and hybrid cloud environments.
The ideal candidate will possess strong experience architecting, designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise networks across global hybrid environments, including firewalls, switches, VPNs, LAN/WAN, and cloud connectivity. The role requires an individual who can operate effectively at both deep technical and strategic levels, ensuring secure, resilient, and high-performance infrastructure supporting business-critical production and corporate operations.
This is a technically demanding, highly hands-on role requiring excellent troubleshooting, implementation, and operational leadership capabilities. A strong foundation in network security is essential to drive infrastructure modernization, operational excellence, and the future roadmap of enterprise IT infrastructure. Experience with AWS and Azure cloud networking and architecture is highly desirable. The role will also collaborate closely with global IT teams and provide senior technical escalation support across Americas, EMEA, and APAC regions.
This is a 100% onsite role based in Los Angeles.
Key Responsibilities
Network Architecture & Engineering (Primary Focus)
- Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise multi-site network architecture, including LAN, WAN, VPN, and hybrid cloud connectivity
- Act as the technical authority for all network-related standards, design decisions, and roadmap
- Manage and maintain core network infrastructure, including:
- Firewalls, routing, switching, and wireless networks
- Secure remote access and site-to-site VPN connectivity
- Design and enforce network segmentation strategies across corporate, production, and guest network environments
- Architect and maintain high-availability and resilient network designs, including redundancy, failover, and traffic optimization
- Own network security architecture, including firewall governance and traffic filtering
- Continuously improve network performance, scalability, and security posture across all sites
Network Operations, Monitoring & Incident Management
- Own end-to-end network operations, including monitoring, alerting, and performance tuning using enterprise tools (e.g., PRTG, SolarWinds)
- Lead advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex network and connectivity issues
- Analyze logs, traffic patterns, and performance metrics to proactively identify and resolve issues
- Ensure optimal performance of latency-sensitive production and data transfer workflows
- Define and maintain network operational standards, runbooks, and escalation procedures
Security & Infrastructure Protection
- Lead implementation and operation of network and infrastructure security controls across on-prem and cloud environments
- Manage and optimize security platforms, including:
- Endpoint Detection & Response (e.g., WithSecure, Microsoft Defender)
- Network and edge protection solutions (e.g., firewalls, Cloudflare, secure web gateways)
- Ensure integration of security tools with network and infrastructure layers for end-to-end visibility and threat detection
- Monitor, investigate, and respond to security incidents, alerts, and anomalies in collaboration with global IT teams
- Enforce security policies, access controls, and zero-trust segmentation principles across all environments
- Support audit, compliance, and vulnerability remediation efforts, ensuring alignment with corporate and industry standards
Infrastructure & Platform Ownership
- Oversee server, storage, and virtualisation environments across on-prem and cloud platforms
- Manage and optimise hybrid cloud connectivity, including Azure and AWS integrations
- Align infrastructure platforms with enterprise systems such as Microsoft 365 and Azure AD
Stakeholder, Vendor & Technical Leadership
- Serve as the technical lead for the Los Angeles office, aligning global IT strategy with local operational needs
- Engage effectively with business stakeholders, translating technical risks into business impact and priorities
- Collaborate with global IT teams across regions to drive standardisation and project delivery
- Manage relationships with ISPs, telcos, and technology vendors, ensuring service quality and timely resolution
- Provide mentorship and guidance to engineers and local IT staff
Documentation, Security & Governance
- Maintain clear documentation of network architecture, topology, configurations, and changes
- Ensure compliance with security policies, audits, and operational governance requirements
Technical Expertise & Skills
Mandatory Requirements
- 8–12 years of experience in enterprise networking, with proven ownership of complex, multi-site environments
- Deep expertise in:
- Routing & switching (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, DNS, DHCP)
- Enterprise firewall platforms (Fortinet, Palo Alto or equivalent)
- VPN technologies (site-to-site and remote access)
- Network segmentation, secure design, and high-availability architecture
- Strong experience in network performance monitoring, traffic analysis, and deep troubleshooting
- Proven capability in designing and operating secure, resilient, and scalable network environments
Broader Infrastructure Capability
- Experience across enterprise IT infrastructure, including:
- Virtualisation platforms (VMware or equivalent)
- Server environments (Windows/Linux) and enterprise storage solutions
- Hybrid cloud networking and infrastructure (Azure / AWS)
- Identity and access platforms (Active Directory / Azure AD)
- Experience integrating networks, infrastructure, and cloud environments to support business-critical applications and workflows
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Certification in CCNA certified (or equivalent capability), AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator
- Familiarity with agile project methodologies and change control processes.
- Strong passion for customer experience, continuous learning, and delivering innovative technical solutions.
- Media Industry Experience: Knowledge of post-production workflows (e.g., subtitling tools, A/V codecs, Media Asset Management systems, File Transfer tools such as Media Shuttle, Aspera Faspex, etc) is an added advantage.
