Job Summary
We are seeking experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurses (ER RNs) for Travel and Local contract opportunities in Utica, New York. The ideal candidate will have recent Emergency Department experience, pediatric patient experience, and previous travel nursing experience. Candidates with charge nurse experience are highly preferred.
Unit Details
- Unit: Emergency Department (ED)
- Shift Options:
- Days: 8:30 AM – 9:00 PM
- Nights: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
- Schedule: 36 Hours Weekly (3x12s)
- Floating Required: Yes
- EMR System: Epic
- Scrub Color: Navy Blue
- Block Scheduling: Not promised or guaranteed
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate emergency patient care.
- Provide care to adult and pediatric patients presenting with acute illnesses and injuries.
- Perform rapid assessments and prioritize patient care in a fast-paced environment.
- Administer medications, treatments, and emergency interventions.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Maintain accurate documentation using Epic EMR.
Required Qualifications
- Active New York RN License
- Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience
- Pediatric (PEDS) experience required
- Previous Travel Nursing experience required
- Current AHA BLS Certification
- Current AHA ACLS Certification
- Current AHA PALS Certification
- Current NIHSS Certification
- Current TNCC Certification (Must be in hand at submission)
- Skills Checklist matching specialty
- NURSYS Report verifying Active NY License and all active RN licenses
- Valid Driver’s License with address matching candidate demographics
Preferred Qualifications
- Charge Nurse capability and experience highly preferred.
