This paid, onsite internship is posted for the Summer of 2027, estimated start date would be on or shortly after May 3, 2027.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Financial statement analysis. Analyze financial statements by spreading the statements and preparing a complete credit analysis. This will include gathering financial statements, interpreting the financial data, checking collateral, and writing up the analysis.
- Help maintain commercial loan files.
- Provide accurate information and sound judgments on the credit worthiness of assigned accounts to assist the commercial loan officers.
- Assist officers with documentation, including loan preparation and follow up on documentation exceptions.
- Assists in other areas of the bank on an “as needed” basis.
- Prepare other reports, as needed, for management.
- Assist lenders with identifying new potential clients, performing market research and attending initial meetings with prospects.

- Ability to think both creatively and analytically.
- Displays an aptitude to learn and work with databases.
- Possesses proven and polished writing skills; organizational skills; and communications skills.
- Ability for strong attention to detail; and possess and demonstrate excellent proofreading and writing abilities.
- Capability to interact professionally with all levels of Bank Management and Directors.
- Exhibits an understanding of, and compliance with, applicable federal and state banking laws and regulations.
Education, Experience or Preferred Skills:
High School diploma and/or general education degree (GED) required. Current student enrolled or planning to enroll in a commercial banking program or related field. Knowledge of Banking industry preferred but not required.
