Technical Writer Position Summary:
iWorld Professionals is seeking a Technical Writer with at least one year of experience developing technical documentation for engineering or mechanical products. This role will be responsible for creating high-quality manuals, procedural guides, specifications, and operational content to support internal teams and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, exceptional attention to detail, and demonstrated success working in technical, engineering, or manufacturing environments.
This position is hybrid-based, with onsite in Fredericksburg, VA.
Technical Writer Responsibilities:
- Develop, write, and edit detailed technical documentation, manuals, process instructions, and product guides for engineering and mechanical systems.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, manufacturing, and product teams to gather technical information and ensure accuracy.
- Translate complex concepts into clear, concise, and audience-appropriate content.
- Ensure documentation adheres to industry standards, internal quality requirements, and program compliance needs.
- Maintain document version control and support continuous improvements in documentation processes.
- Support internal and external training materials and documentation needs as required.
Technical Writer Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of technical writing experience supporting engineering, mechanical, or technology products.
- Strong ability to synthesize technical information into clear, structured content.
- Excellent written communication, grammar, and documentation formatting skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Active U.S. security clearance required (must be current).
- Ability to work hybrid onsite in Fredericksburg, VA.
Preferred Skills
