Quality Engineer - Multiple openings!

iWorld Professionals is seeking Quality Engineers for an exciting on-site opportunity in Rochester NY. We are open to candidates ranging from early-career engineers looking to build their quality expertise to experienced Quality Engineers who can take ownership of complex quality challenges and continuous improvement initiatives.

You’ll work alongside technical and operations teams to improve processes, investigate quality issues, reduce defects, and ensure products meet rigorous industry standards.

Quality Engineer Position Responsibilities:

• Partner with engineering, manufacturing, operations, and supplier quality teams to identify and reduce product and process defects.
• Review engineering drawings, specifications, manufacturing processes, and quality requirements for compliance.
• Investigate quality issues and support root cause and corrective action (RCCA) activities.
• Use structured problem-solving methods such as 8D, 5 Why, DMAIC, and similar quality tools.
• Evaluate nonconforming materials and help determine appropriate disposition and corrective actions.
• Analyze quality data and identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives designed to improve quality, reliability, and manufacturing performance.
• Collaborate with customers and internal teams to resolve quality concerns and clarify technical requirements.
• Review manufacturing processes and documentation before release and following engineering or process changes.
• Participate in new product development and introduction activities.
• Support internal, customer, and regulatory quality audits.
• Maintain accurate quality documentation and system records.

Quality Engineer Requirements:

We are interested in candidates at multiple experience levels. You do not need to have every preferred qualification to be considered.

• Associate or bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quality Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Entry-level candidates with relevant education, internships, co-op experience, or hands-on manufacturing exposure are encouraged to apply.
• Experienced candidates with experience in Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Supplier Quality, or related fields are strongly encouraged to apply.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Experience or exposure to quality methodologies such as FAI, RCCA, SPC, PPAP, APQP, 8D, or 5 Why is a plus.
• Knowledge of AS9100 or aerospace/defense quality requirements is highly desirable but not required
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• LEAN or Six Sigma knowledge is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and customer-facing teams.
• A genuine interest in quality, continuous improvement, and solving technical problems.
• Ability to work on site in Rochester NY.
