We are representing a growing design-build general contractor with a strong presence across the Southeast, focused on industrial development including small-bay, distribution, and light industrial projects.
About the Role
This is a key hire within an expanding preconstruction team supporting a high-volume pipeline of ground-up work. The role will focus on both conceptual and hard bid estimating, working closely with internal leadership, developers, and operations teams to drive projects from early-stage budgeting through GMP.
Responsibilities
- Lead conceptual and detailed estimating for ground-up industrial projects
- Develop budgets, takeoffs, and pricing strategies across multiple phases of preconstruction
- Collaborate with operations, design, and field teams to ensure alignment from precon through execution
- Manage subcontractor outreach, bid leveling, and scope analysis
- Provide value engineering recommendations and cost-saving strategies
- Support client interactions and help position projects for successful award
Qualifications
- 5–15 years of preconstruction / estimating experience with a GC or design-build firm
- Strong experience with industrial construction (tilt-wall, precast, concrete structures)
- Comfortable operating in both conceptual and hard bid environments
- Ability to work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders in a fast-paced setting
- Familiarity with regional subcontractor and pricing dynamics is highly valued
