Ivybrook Academy is a progressive preschool, inspired by Montessori and Reggio Emilia philosophies. We serve children ages 18 months to five years, offering a nurturing, inquiry-based learning environment that celebrates creativity, collaboration, and community. Our Sterling campus opens in January 2026 and follows the Loudoun County Public Schools calendar, with optional summer programming.

Qualifications
· Minimum 1 year of experience in an early childhood education setting.
· Strong classroom management and communication skills.
· Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, or a related field (preferred).
· Familiarity with Reggio Emilia or Montessori-inspired approaches is a plus.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe/PDF tools.
· Must meet Virginia state licensing requirements for preschool educators.
· Background check required.
Responsibilities
· Implement engaging, developmentally appropriate curriculum.
· Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
· Observe and document student progress using portfolio assessments.
· Maintain regular communication with families through newsletters, emails, and conferences.
· Collaborate with colleagues to support student learning and school-wide initiatives.
· Attend staff meetings, professional development sessions, and school events.
· Uphold Ivybrook’s mission, vision, and educational philosophy.
· Support children’s social-emotional development through inquiry and conflict resolution.
· Maintain a clean and organized classroom and outdoor learning space.
Schedule Options
· Full-Time: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
· Part-Time Morning: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–12:30 PM
· Part-Time Afternoon: Monday–Friday, 12:00 PM–4:30 PM
