The Senior HR Generalist is responsible for delivering comprehensive HR support across the employee lifecycle, including payroll administration, talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and HR operations. This role serves as a trusted advisor to managers and employees, partnering with business leaders to support organizational objectives and drive a positive employee experience.
The position requires strong hands-on experience with ADP payroll, U.S. employment practices, The Senior HR Generalist will work closely with managers to address workforce challenges, support employee engagement initiatives, and ensure HR processes are administered effectively and compliantly. Responsibilities:
Payroll Administration
- Manage and coordinate bi-weekly payroll processing through ADP for North America.
- Ensure accurate processing of new hires, terminations, salary changes, bonuses, commissions, and benefit deductions.
- Partner with Finance and payroll providers to resolve payroll issues and ensure timely and accurate payroll delivery.
- Maintain payroll and employee records in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Support payroll audits, reporting, and compliance activities.
Talent Acquisition
- Manage full-cycle recruitment for exempt and non-exempt positions.
- Partner with hiring managers to develop recruitment strategies and workforce plans.
- Source, screen, interview, and coordinate candidate selection processes.
- Manage relationships with recruitment agencies and external vendors.
- Lead onboarding activities to ensure a positive new hire experience.
HR Business Partner Support
- Provide day-to-day HR guidance to managers and employees.
- Coach leaders on performance management, employee relations, attendance, disciplinary actions, and policy interpretation.
- Support organizational changes, workforce planning, and talent development initiatives.
- Partner with managers to improve employee engagement and retention.
Employee Relations
- Investigate employee concerns and workplace issues appropriately and confidentially.
- Support performance improvement plans, corrective actions, and conflict resolution.
- Ensure consistent application of company policies and employment practices.
- Assist with leave administration and ADA accommodations as required.
Benefits & HR Operations
- Support benefits enrollment, employee questions, and vendor coordination.
- Maintain HRIS records and ensure data accuracy.
- Prepare regular HR metrics and reports, including headcount, turnover, recruiting, and payroll-related reporting.
- Assist with annual compensation reviews, bonus administration, and performance review processes.
Compliance
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Maintain knowledge of changing employment regulations and HR best practices.
- Support internal and external audits as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 8 years of progressive HR Generalist experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now or other ADP payroll platforms.
- Experience supporting managers in a multi-site or fast-paced business environment.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. employment laws and HR practices.
- Experience managing full-cycle recruitment.
- Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification.
- Experience supporting manufacturing, operations, service, or technology organizations.
- Experience with multi-state payroll administration.
- Experience supporting M&A integrations or organizational change initiatives.
