What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-time Tutor position at Ivy Tech Community College of Indiana?
Tutors serve as an academic support program for students needing additional assistance with specific courses. Tutors should be prepared to share with students how to effectively study for the course. A successful Tutor will have a passion for seeing students succeed and have experience with diverse student groups and populations. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: Tutor students in structured study sessions. Work with students through assignments and test preparation. Collaborate with faculty. Integrate Content and Learning Skills. QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: · Must have a high school diploma or GED. · Some college coursework required. · Must be making, or have achieved, Satisfactory Academic Progress. · Must have a grade of A or B in the targeted class. · Must have a desire and ability to perform work in the employment position assigned.
