What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Surgical Technologist position at Ivy Surgical Center?
Ivy Surgical Center (part of Barrett Beverly Hills) is seeking a Surgical Technologist with a passion for plastic surgery and patient safety. This is a per diem role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, detail-oriented, team-driven environment.
You’ll play a key role in supporting the surgical team and ensuring every case runs seamlessly from setup to recovery.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare operating rooms with minimal direction and ensure all equipment and instruments are ready and functioning properly.
- Maintain a sterile field throughout the procedure and anticipate the needs of the surgeon and team.
- Assist with patient preparation, positioning, and draping.
- Handle surgical instruments, cut sutures, manage inventory counts, and assist in wound dressing.
- Support room turnover and assist in patient transport to and from PACU.
- Collect and prepare used instruments for sterilization and decontamination.
- Participate in local procedures both in the OR and clinic settings.
- Help identify opportunities to improve efficiency and turnover times while maintaining the highest safety standards.

Experience & Skills
- Required: Minimum 2 years of surgical technologist experience in plastic surgery.
- Certifications: CST certification, and BLS and/or ACLS certification
- Technical: Basic computer skills (Mac preferred).
- Physical: Ability to stand for long periods and assist in lifting patients (50 lbs with team support).
