The opportunity:
We are seeking compassionate and motivated Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSWs) and Psychologists to provide psychotherapy services in nursing homes across New York. The responsibilities:
- Provide psychotherapy to nursing home residents during scheduled rounds.
- Collaborate closely with nursing home staff, residents, and families.
- Monitor progress, adjust interventions as needed, and proactively follow up with patients.
- Educate residents, families, and staff on best practices in mental health care.
- Partner with psychiatric providers to integrate behavioral and pharmacological treatments, with an emphasis on non-pharmacological interventions whenever possible.
The Candidate:
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Psychologist.
- Strong clinical judgment, empathy, and ability to work independently.
- Passion for working with older adults and supporting their emotional well-being.
