Busy solo practitioner at a boutique real estate law firm is seeking a highly motivated and detail oriented Legal Intern to join a growing practice. This position offers hands-on experience in real estate transactions, landlord-tenant matters, title review, contract drafting, and law office administration. The successful candidate will work directly with the firm's Managing Attorney and Owner, gaining meaningful exposure to client interactions, transaction management, and the day-to-day operation of a fast-paced law practice.
Applicants must be either:
- A current law student; or
- A recent graduate (with at least a Bachelor’s Degree) who has been accepted to and plans to begin law school in Fall 2026.
Preferred qualifications include:
- Strong research, writing, and communication skills;
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail;
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines;
- Professional demeanor and strong work ethic;
- Interest in real estate law, contract drafting, or corporate law;
- Prior office, customer service, real estate, or legal experience is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities may include:
- Conducting legal research and drafting memoranda;
- Drafting correspondence, contracts, notices, and other legal documents;
- Communicating with clients and other third parties;
- Answering phones and assisting with client intake;
- Managing client files and transaction documents;
- Scheduling appointments, hearings, closings, and client meetings;
- Assisting with file opening, file maintenance, and file closing procedures;
- Preparing and organizing closing packages and other materials; and
- Scanning, filing, document management, and other administrative tasks necessary to support a busy law practice.
