Ivy Hawn Charter School of the Arts is seeking an enthusiastic Elementary Computer Teacher to provide foundational technology instruction to elementary students. This role focuses on developing digital literacy, creativity, and responsible technology use in a supportive and engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate instruction in music education, including vocal, instrumental, movement, and creative expression aligned with state standards and school instructional goals.
- Develop students’ musical skills, including rhythm, pitch, notation, performance, and music appreciation through engaging and differentiated instruction.
- Assess student learning through formal and informal methods and provide feedback to support student growth in musical proficiency.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to support arts integration and enhance cross-curricular learning experiences when appropriate.
- Work collaboratively with elementary special area teachers (e.g. dance, drama, violin, etc) to plan, rehearse, and produce at least one grade-level performance per year that showcases student learning.
- Coordinate performance logistics, including rehearsal schedules, music selection, staging, and communication with staff and families.
- Establish and lead an elementary music and/or chorus club that meets regularly and performs at school events and within the community.
- Prepare students for and facilitate participation in school performances, showcases, and community events as directed by administration.
- Maintain organization, inventory, and care of music equipment, instruments, and instructional materials.
- Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student confidence, creativity, and collaboration in music.
- Communicate effectively with students, families, and staff regarding student progress, performances, and program expectations.
- Support school-wide initiatives, events, and thematic programming aligned with the school’s arts mission.
- Support school initiatives involving technology-based learning and projects.
- Encourage curiosity, creativity, and responsible digital habits.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Educational Technology, or related field.
- Eligible for or holds a valid Florida Educator Certificate.
Desired Skills
- Experience teaching technology or computer skills to elementary-aged students.
- Familiarity with Google Workspace for Education and educational technology tools.
- Strong classroom management and student engagement strategies.
- Ability to make technology accessible and engaging for younger learners.
Pay: From $48,670.00 per year
