What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cannabis Industry- Dispensary Agent in Charge position at Ivy Hall?

Job Summary:

The Agent in Charge provides exceptional customer service, educational consulting, and in some cases customer record management. In addition, they will provide support and training to dispensary staff at the direction of the Assistant General Manager. 

 

Responsibilities:

Greet customers with a smile and positive attitude.

·       Assist in regular inventory cycle counts to ensure accurate levels and immediately report any discrepancies to retail leadership.

·       Obtain cannabis product from the vault and provide it to Budtenders for sale.

·       Be an advocate of cannabis customer care.

·       Open and close store as directed by the Assistant General Manager or General Manager.

Assist customers and help them navigate through their cannabis education journey.

·       Verify all product is tagged in accordance with state & local regulations and is accompanied by all necessary paperwork from the delivery manifests.

·       Support the Inventory Manager with reconciliation of physical inventory within State tracking system and POS systems to ensure all information is accurately reporting to the state and no malfunctions of the Point of Sale (POS) system and scales are occurring.

Review online orders to ensure accuracy before pick-up.

Support Budtenders with any product or POS System questions.

Build lasting relationships with regular customers to promote regular store visits.

Accurately handle cash transactions, including bank drops and daily payouts as needed. 

·       Provide customers with information on types, methods, and efficacy of various cannabis products (we do not provide medical advice).

Continue on-going cannabis education and training.

·       Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized workstation/store front.

·       Ensure accuracy of online orders before pick-up.

·       Understand and apply detailed compliance regulations as required by local and state laws.

Process transactions at the POS and ensure the state monitored inventory system accurately updates the amount of product available.

·       Other duties as assigned.

 

Requirements:

·       2  years of retail or hospitality (customer facing) experience.

·       Must be at least 21 years of age.

·       Desire to learn about cannabinoids, terpenes and product application/consumption methods.

·       Flexibility to accommodate scheduling demands including some weekends, regularly scheduled shifts, and applicable holidays.

·       Ability to use office equipment (computers and printers) and their included software, i.e., Word, Excel, email, etc.

·       Learn and understand Federal, State, and local laws relating to the cannabis industry and safety regulations.

 

 

 

Physical and Mental Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to remain in a stationary position, move and/or position oneself, communicate, operate and/or prepare, place, position objects, tools, or controls. The employee must occasionally move packages weighing up to 35 lb. Specific hearing abilities required by this job include hearing in the normal audio range with or without correction. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close observation and the ability to adjust focus. The mental and physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an individual, with or without reasonable accommodation, to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.

 

Working Environment:

Work is performed in a retail environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an individual encounter while performing the essential functions of this position.
