Position Overview
We are seeking a per diem Procedure Room Nurse to serve as a flexible, reliable addition to our clinical team. This role is primarily scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday mornings (7:00 AM - 12:00 PM) and 1-2 weekends per month. The selected candidate will function as a back-up to our primary team, stepping in as primary some days and covering gaps for vacations and sick leave as needed.
Please note: while you will be placed on the schedule for your designated days, there will be times when your presence is not required. We value and appreciate a candidate who understands the flexible nature of this role and is comfortable with variability in hours.
Typical hours are 8-10 hours per week, with the potential for up to 20 hours per week when covering for vacations or extended absences.
Schedule
- Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 7:00 AM - 12:00 PM
- 1-2 weekends per month (weekend availability is a must)
- Holidays included on a rotating basis
- Additional hours available when covering vacation and sick leave
- Estimated 8-10 hours per week; up to 20 hours per week during coverage periods
- Flexible schedule required - not every scheduled shift will require your presence
Primary Responsibilities
- Scrubbing for procedures
- Providing pre- and post-operative care and discharge instructions
- Inserting IVs
- Circulating and assisting in egg retrievals, embryo transfers, and office-based surgeries
- Collaborating and maintaining cooperative efforts with other team members and departments
- Other duties as assigned

Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Virginia
Compensation
$45.00 - $50.00 per hour, dependent on experience (DOE). Competitive wages offered for the right candidate.
