About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Application Administrator to lead data modernization and informatics initiatives for a public health-focused environment. This role will be responsible for managing technical teams, driving strategic planning efforts, and overseeing data infrastructure modernization to improve interoperability, governance, reporting, and analytics capabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of data modernization and informatics professionals.
- Drive strategic planning and implementation of data modernization initiatives.
- Manage and enhance data infrastructure to improve integration and interoperability.
- Establish and maintain effective data governance practices.
- Support development of reporting, dashboards, and data visualization solutions.
- Improve data quality, timeliness, and coordination across systems.
- Identify opportunities to reduce data collection burden and streamline processes.
- Evaluate and integrate emerging and open-source technologies where appropriate.
- Collaborate with agency stakeholders to assess current data environments and define future-state data warehouse and integration strategies.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 10 years of professional experience in health data, public health systems, healthcare IT, or related data management environments.
- Experience working with public health agencies such as CDC, NIH, State Departments of Health, or similar organizations.
- Proven experience modernizing legacy data infrastructures and systems.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Public Health, Health Informatics, Data Science, or a related discipline.
Work Arrangement:
- Primary work location: Remote within the Continental United States.
- Occasional travel or onsite presence may be required based on client needs.
Salary : $50 - $52
