Cytotechnologist
Shift: Days, 5x8 (40 hrs. /week)
Job duties:
- Adheres to the general hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment by utilizing communication skills, interpersonal relationships and team building.
- Processes and screens cytologic specimens according to procedure and screens microscopic slides for diagnostic evaluation. Issues diagnostic reports on cytologic material.
- Issues final diagnostic reports on negative GYN cases and provides preliminary diagnoses on all remaining cases that are evaluated further by a Pathologist.
Requirements:
- Completion of a 4-year BS or BA degree in cytotechnology, biology or life sciences and completion of an accredited cytotechnology program.
- Cytotechnologist (CT) (ASCP) or equivalent certification required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $37.50 - $56.25 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
