The Ultrasound Technician is responsible for performing sonography appropriately and accurately to assist physician visualization and interpretation during gynecological procedures.

Job Purpose
The Ultrasound Technician is responsible for performing sonography appropriately and accurately to assist physician visualization and interpretation during gynecological procedures.
Essential Functions And Accountabilities
- Collaborates with physicians, other medical providers, and patients by providing expert care and service for fertility treatments.
- Establishes personal rapport with patients.
- Provides explanations of procedures.
- Performs detailed examinations of anatomy.
- Performs bladder and uterus scans during embryo transfers and other medical procedures.
- Assists with procedure set-up, following all sterile precautions.
- Completion of formal Ultrasound training and certification
- Studies level: Certification
- Studies area: Ultrasound
- Current BLS Certification - required
- Studies level: Certification
- Studies area: BLS
- Previous experience in women's health or reproductive endocrinology and infertility – preferred
- 2 years of experience as an ultrasound technologist – required
- Ability to effectively operate all pieces of equipment utilized within the scope of this job.
- Proficient in computer programs including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
