We are seeking a Medical Assistant to join our Salt Lake City, UT team. Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with rotating weekends and holidays.
As a Medical Assistant, you will work closely with physicians, nurses, and other clinical team members to support patient care throughout the treatment process. Essential Functions And Accountabilities
- Assist Physicians with clinical procedures
- Follow proper protocols for all procedures
- Practice phlebotomy
- Accurately document ultrasound measurements, provider comments and use appropriate stim templates while chaperoning ultrasounds.
- Clean exam rooms and equipment per protocol.
- Set up and stock examination and procedure rooms.
- Maintain clinical supplies inventory.
- Specimen collection, processing for in-house and outside laboratories.
- Manage Lanfax for outside labs, reports, results. Enter results and email to provider team for review.
- Provide patients with information regarding upcoming procedures and reassurance/comfort before, during and after procedures.
- Completion of Certified Medical Assistant Program – preferred
- Phlebotomy Program – preferred
- 6 months experience as a Medical Assistant in a physician practice
- Prior experience in women’s healthcare – preferred
- Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Outlook and Excel – required
- EMR experience - preferred
