Per Diem Ultrasound Technician

IVIRMA North America network of state-of-the-art fertility practices in the United States, is currently seeking a Per Diem Sonographer/Ultrasound Technician to join our growing Littleton practice!  Looking for someone to help during weekends and occasional weekdays/

Job Purpose:

The Ultrasound Technician is responsible for performing sonography appropriately and accurately to assist physician visualization and interpretation during gynecological procedures. 

Essential Functions and Accountabilities: 

• Collaborates with physicians, other medical providers, and patients by providing expert care and service for fertility treatments. 
• Establishes personal rapport with patients.
• Provides explanations of procedures.
• Performs detailed examinations of anatomy.
• Performs bladder and uterus scans during embryo transfers and other medical procedures.
• Assists with procedure set-up, following all sterile precautions.

Academic Training: 

• Completion of formal Ultrasound training and certification 
  • Studies level: Certification
  • Studies area: Ultrasound
• Current BLS Certification - required
  • Studies level: Certification
  • Studies area: BLS

Position Requirements/Experience: 

• Previous experience in women's health or reproductive endocrinology and infertility – preferred
• 2 years of experience as an ultrasound technologist – required

Technical Skills: 

• Ability to effectively operate all pieces of equipment utilized within the scope of this job.
• Proficient in computer programs including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
