Key Responsibilities
- Generate new business opportunities and secure commercial and industrial HVAC preventive maintenance agreements.
- Develop and execute prospecting plans to identify and engage target accounts.
- Build relationships with facility managers, property managers, building owners, engineers, contractors, and other decision-makers.
- Use a consultative sales approach to understand customer needs and recommend appropriate service solutions.
- Communicate the company’s service offerings, technical capabilities, value proposition, and competitive differentiators.
- Prepare and present proposals, service agreements, and sales presentations.
- Maintain an active sales pipeline using CRM and sales tracking tools.
- Collaborate with operations, service, estimating, and management teams to support customer satisfaction and successful execution.
- Attend industry events and customer meetings to generate leads and stay current on market trends.
- Meet or exceed established sales goals, activity metrics, and revenue objectives.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within the assigned territory.
- Proven success in business development, outside sales, account acquisition, or a related sales role.
- Strong prospecting, relationship-building, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, stay organized, and learn and communicate technical concepts effectively to customers.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience in HVAC, mechanical services, facility services, industrial services, construction, or another technical industry, including selling to commercial and industrial customers.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs and service agreements.
- Driven, results-oriented sales professional with a hunter mentality and strong focus on generating new business.
