Role Description
Ivey Mechanical Company is seeking a skilled Pipefitter for a full-time, on-site position in Nicholasville, KY. The Pipefitter will install, assemble, maintain, and repair piping systems for various industrial and commercial projects. Daily responsibilities include cutting, threading, and welding pipes, interpreting blueprints and technical drawings, and ensuring proper system functionality and safety. The role requires collaboration with other trades and adherence to project schedules while maintaining high safety and quality standards.
Qualifications
- Experience and proficiency in pipe, pipefitting, and steam systems
- Knowledge of welding techniques, with a focus on TIG welding
- Ability to interpret technical blueprints, schematics, and isometric drawings
- Strong understanding of safety standards and best practices within the mechanical construction field
- Physical ability to handle heavy tools and work in various environments
- Relevant certifications in pipefitting or welding are preferred
- Prior experience in mechanical contracting or construction is beneficial
