Network Support Specialist

Location: Mesa, Arizona | Department: Office IT Partner Support / Pre & Post Sales Troubleshooting   | Reports to: CEO

Are you ready to support and optimize complex network environments, ensure system reliability, and play a critical role in how an AI and IoT company operates at scale?

At Iveda, we’re seeking a technically strong Network Support Specialist to support, maintain, and troubleshoot our network infrastructure across cloud, on-premise, and edge environments. This role is responsible for monitoring network performance, diagnosing and resolving connectivity issues, and ensuring high availability of systems supporting AI-driven solutions.

You will work closely with engineering, product, and field teams to support deployments, manage network configurations, and maintain secure and reliable connectivity across devices, gateways, and platforms. This includes hands-on work with routing and switching, VPNs, firewalls, and network protocols, as well as supporting system integrations and ongoing infrastructure improvements.

Company Culture

At Iveda, culture is key. Our vision guides us, our mission drives our daily purpose, and our values ground us.

Vision

Our vision is to simplify everyday life—one innovation at a time.

Mission

Our mission is to make technology accessible and straightforward, empowering customers to overcome challenges, seize opportunities, and reach their goals.

Core Values

  • Results-Oriented – We focus on outcomes and impact.
  • Prompt – We act swiftly and efficiently.
  • Transparent – We believe in clear communication and honesty.
  • Accountable – We own our work and our responsibilities.
  • Aligned – We move in sync toward a shared vision.
  • Resilient – We adapt, recover, and keep going—stronger than before.

Role Overview

We are looking for a hands-on Network Support Specialist who understands how networks function in real-world environments and can keep both our internal systems and partner deployments running smoothly.

This role combines internal IT support with external troubleshooting. You will help maintain our office network environment while also working with partners and customers to resolve connectivity and integration issues, especially around IP cameras, RTSP streams, and network configurations.

This is not a helpdesk-only role and not a senior engineering position. We are looking for someone practical, capable, and resourceful who can step into issues and work them through to resolution.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain office network infrastructure including routers, switches, and wireless systems

• Configure and support firewall rules and network policies, including Meraki or similar platforms

• Troubleshoot network connectivity issues across internal systems and external partner environments

• Support LAN/WAN environments including VLANs, DHCP, DNS, and IP addressing

• Assist partners and customers with pre and post sales technical troubleshooting

• Help diagnose and establish RTSP video streams from IP cameras into required network environments

• Work through NAT, port forwarding, and firewall configurations to enable proper device communication

• Troubleshoot connectivity between cameras, NVRs, and cloud or on-prem systems

• Communicate clearly with partners to guide them through technical setups and issue resolution

• Maintain documentation of network configurations, common issues, and solutions

Qualifications

Required

• 3–7 years of hands-on IT or network support experience

• Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking, subnetting, and VLANs

• Experience managing small to mid-size office network environments

• Experience with firewall configuration (Meraki preferred, or similar platforms like Fortinet, SonicWall, etc.)

• Experience troubleshooting IP cameras, RTSP streams, or similar video/network integrations is a strong plus

• Comfortable working across internal systems and external partner environments

• Ability to diagnose issues independently and follow through to resolution

• Clear communication skills, especially when working with non-technical users or partners

Preferred

• Experience with ONVIF and IP camera ecosystems

• Familiarity with video streaming protocols (RTSP, HTTP, etc.)

• Experience with VPN setup and remote access troubleshooting

• Exposure to cloud-managed networking platforms (Cisco Meraki, Ubiquiti, etc.)

• Basic understanding of network security best practices

What Success Looks Like in This Role

• Internal systems remain stable, secure, and reliable

• Partner issues are resolved quickly without unnecessary escalation

• Camera streams and network integrations are brought online efficiently

• Problems are solved at the root, not patched temporarily

• Partners feel supported and confident working with our technology

Who You Are

• You take ownership and follow through

• You are practical and solutions-focused

• You are comfortable working through ambiguity in real environments

• You communicate clearly and don’t leave issues unresolved

• You know how to balance speed with getting it done right

Benefits:

  • Competitive Salary – Attractive compensation based on experience and performance.
  • Comprehensive Health & Dental Insurance – Coverage for employees to ensure well-being.
  • Paid Time Off & Holidays – Generous leave policies to provide time for rest and personal commitments.
  • Professional Development Opportunities – Access to training, leadership programs, and career growth initiatives.
  • Stock Options – Participate in company Stock Option Plan
