Responsibilities
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clarity and attention to detail.
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation.
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and basic math calculations for bills and tips.
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, dining areas, and service stations through bussing and sanitation practices.
- Provide excellent guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns, and ensuring overall satisfaction throughout the dining experience.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude.
- Ability to manage time effectively during busy evening shifts while multitasking efficiently.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques.
- Experience with food preparation, serving, bussing, or host/hostess roles is advantageous.
- Basic math skills for cashiering and cash handling tasks; familiarity with OpenTable for reservations is beneficial.
- Demonstrated ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance guest experience.
