General Labor/Field Crew Member - Construction, Landscaping, Heavy Equipment, Irrigation
Responsibilities
- Support site prep, clearing, grading, and excavation; assist with roadwork (base prep, material placement, compaction support)
- Help install and backfill underground utilities (water, drainage, conduit); hand work including trenching and finish grading
- Spot for equipment operators and direct traffic around active work areas
- Load, unload, and secure tools, materials, and equipment; complete daily equipment checks, fueling, basic maintenance, and cleanup
- Follow all site safety procedures, wear required PPE, and report problems to the crew lead immediately
Requirements
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and random testing
- Reliable transportation to the job site or yard; dependable attendance
- Able to lift 50 lbs, work outdoors in Texas heat, dust, and rough terrain, and stand for a full shift
- Willing to work overtime or occasional Saturdays in peak season
- Preferred (not required): landscape, heavy construction, roadwork, or utility site work experience; familiarity with skid steers, excavators, dozers, or dump trucks; CDL or equipment certifications
