The Role
This is a full-time, on-site position in Huntsville. As a Civil Engineer at Ivaldi, you'll design and review site development plans — site layout, grading, utilities, and stormwater management — and see them through from concept to construction. Depending on your interests and background, there's room to work across our transportation, traffic, and environmental practice areas as well.

The Role

As a Civil Engineer at Ivaldi, you'll design and review site development plans — site layout, grading, utilities, and stormwater management — and see them through from concept to construction. Depending on your interests and background, there's room to work across our transportation, traffic, and environmental practice areas as well.
Day to day, you'll:
- Prepare engineering drawings, reports, and calculations
- Coordinate with project managers, surveyors, architects, and contractors
- Participate in planning meetings and support permitting activities
- Ensure designs meet regulatory requirements, client expectations, and constructability standards
- Work through project challenges with practical solutions and clear documentation
- Help us continue improving how we deliver projects
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- EIT/FE certification, or eligibility to sit for the FE; PE licensure preferred (Landscape Architecture license also considered)
- Solid grounding in civil engineering design fundamentals
- Site or land development experience, including coordination across multidisciplinary teams
- Working knowledge of hydrology and hydraulics, with hands-on stormwater management design and analysis
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and standard office software
- Familiarity with local, state, and federal regulations governing land development, permitting, and infrastructure
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills, with real attention to detail
- Willingness to mentor and support less experienced engineers as the team grows
