Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and setup of construction sites, including material handling and site cleanup
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely to perform tasks such as concrete mixing, cutting, and finishing
- Support concrete pouring, finishing, and pumping activities to create durable structures
- Install rebar, formwork, metal studs, and framing according to blueprints and schematics
- Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate execution of construction plans
- Perform masonry work, stucco application, roofing, and restoration tasks as needed
- Follow all safety protocols and workplace safety regulations to maintain a secure environment for everyone on site
Requirements
- Proven experience working on construction projects with knowledge of construction workplace safety regulations
- Mechanical knowledge combined with experience in concrete forming, cutting, finishing, and pouring processes
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, heavy lifting equipment, and operating heavy machinery when necessary
- Familiarity with construction estimating principles and material handling procedures
- Strong understanding of various trades including carpentry (trim carpentry), masonry, roofing, plastering, tile laying, metal stud framing, and welding
- Valid driver’s license for commercial driving or ability to operate heavy equipment as required
- Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive approach to safety protocol adherence and quality standards
