Material Handler III

Job Description

Position Summary:

As a Material Handler III, you will work in a team setting to reach warehouse operations goals. You will perform basic warehouse duties including shipping, packing, loading and unloading trailers.

Primary Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with Coordinator and Supervisors, who will assign orders.
• Pick customer orders within established productivity standards via RF technology.
• Pack customer order using material handling equipment: this includes UPS, LTL and TL shipments.
• Responsible for loading product onto and/or unloading product from trucks or ocean containers in a safe manner.
• Responsible for replenishing inventory, putting away inbound products and drops within the warehouse picking locations.
• Checking, inspecting and tagging all inbound and outbound shipments
• Operate the audit center independently.
• Complete shipment and receiving orders in a timely manner.
• Perform daily and monthly cycle counts in line with ITW procedural standards.
• Be able to train and provide guidance on root cause analysis for Material Handlers I and II.
• Have the ability to coach and lead others.
• Support 6S Projects and observational audits
• Observe all the ITW safety policies and procedures; maintain a neat and orderly work area.
• Contribute towards process improvement within job parameters.
• Actively participate in safety committee meetings and contribute to continuous improvement
• Ensure work areas are kept clean, neat and well-organized
• All additional duties as assigned.
  
  

Job Requirements

• 3 Year Experience
• High School Diploma/GED
• Forklift experience certified a plus
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Basic computer and keyboarding skills
• Advance understanding of Navision.
• Strong attention to details.
  
  

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this position, the employee will be exposed to fumes, heat and dust, climate variances and moving mechanical equipment typically found in a manufacturing environment. The noise level in the work environment is high when exposed to the manufacturing areas. Certain personal protective equipment is required when in the manufacturing areas. Employee must be able to lift product and display materials that weigh from 1 pound to 50 pounds on a consistent basis. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to bend, kneel, lift, stand, and walking on hard surfaces such as concrete.

Hourly base salary for this position is $23.00. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
