Job Summary
Join our team as a Finisher Operator and play a key role in producing high-performance products used to protect sensitive data on ID cards and secure documents within the ITW Specialty Films division of Illinois Tool Works. You’ll operate and maintain finishing and packaging equipment to ensure products meet strict quality standards. This role is ideal for detail-oriented individuals with manufacturing experience who are ready to grow their skills in a safety-first, stable and growth-oriented company.
Shift & Pay:
- 2nd Shift: Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM | Starting Pay $19.75/hour
- 3rd Shift: Sunday-Thursday, 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM | Starting Pay: $20.25/hour
What You’ll Do:
- Set up and operate finishing equipment (tabletop rewinder, editing, slitting) to meet quality standards
- Run and monitor packaging equipment such as box formers, baggers, and wrapping machines
- Adjust machine settings (speed, tension, measurements) for optimal performance
- Inspect materials during production and remove defective products
- Prepare finished goods for shipment (labeling, packing, trimming, etc.)
- Handle and move materials safely within the facility
- Complete production, quality, and inventory documentation
- Perform basic equipment maintenance and cleaning
- Crosstrain and assist with training team members as needed
- Follow safety procedures and contribute to a strong safety-first culture
What We’re Looking For:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Manufacturing experience preferred (slitting or converting a plus)
- Ability to read instructions, measurements, and technical drawings
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to perform the physical requirement including frequent standing, walking, and lifting items up to 30 lbs.; occasional bending, kneeling, overhead work, and lifting items up to 40 lbs.; continuous hand use and ability to identify visual defects.
- Willingness to work overtime or flexible hours as needed
