General Responsibilities: May include some or all of the following.
- Ship daily sales orders through proficient use of online and other computer application software.
- Communicate daily with customer service, conversion department, and external freight forwarders on status and scheduling of sales orders ready to ship.
- Receive daily purchase orders through proficient use of accounting software.
- Communicate and notify appropriate ITW Rippey staff when materials (business or personal) arrive for them.
- Operate and maintain forklift, wave, drum lift, and motorized pallet jack. Schedule maintenance and keep log updated.
- Maintain on-site inventory spreadsheet to reflect movements.
- Locate and pull raw inventory using inventory lists provided by conversion supervisor.
- Keep warehouse clean and organized at all times. Work with area supervisors/management to keep raw materials organized in appropriate storage locations.
- Put all chemical and hazardous materials in appropriate storage locations immediately after arrival using required protective equipment (PPE) and drum lifter/forklift.
- Assist conversion department on labeling, binning, and/or packaging finished good product.
- Assist area supervisor(s) by monitoring inventory levels of all materials on and off site - boxes, tape, bags, shrink wrap etc. Notify area supervisor(s) when materials are low and need to be re-ordered.
- Assist on inventory cycle counts.
- Perform, in a timely manner, all tasks and objectives, as assigned by Operations Manager relevant to area of responsibility.
- Other job-related duties as assigned.
- High school graduate or general education degree (GED).
- 2 years recent or comparable experience working in a warehouse environment.
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Awareness training with hazardous materials.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Forklift certification.
- Working within manufacturing environment.
- Must be able to lift/move up to 50 pounds.
- Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), consisting of goggles, gloves, face shield, and respirator, as needed.
- Hazardous chemicals handling.
- Operation of various manufacturing machinery.
- Computer use.
- Various analytical equipment and tools.
$23.80 - $32.30 hourly
