What are the responsibilities and job description for the 1st shift Industrial Maintenance Technician position at ITW (Illinois Tool Works)?
We are seeking an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic 1st Shift (7am-3:30pm) to join our team in Watertown, WI!! You will maintain and repair industrial production and processing machinery.

Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect and diagnose machinery malfunctions; repair or replace defective equipment as necessary.
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery, cranes, forklifts, and other equipment.
- Test and repair production equipment and machinery, and report any issues to appropriate personnel.
- Assemble and install equipment using hand tools, power tools, and equipment such as welders, hoists, drills, and wrenches.
- Utilize knowledge of milling machines, brake presses, drill presses, and general machine shop equipment.
- Repair machinery such as lathes, mills, drill presses, and other tools as required.
- Maintain safety standards and address environmental issues.
- Additional duties may include janitorial tasks, plumbing, pipefitting, painting, and carpentry.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma required; Associate's degree from a Technical College preferred.
- Apprenticeship or Journeyman experience is a plus.
- 3-5 years of maintenance experience preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, drawings, and blueprints.
- Basic knowledge of electrical wiring and components.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a dedication to safety.
