Essential Responsibilities
- Establishes and/or adjusts work schedules and procedures and assigns workload to meet schedules.
- Assures that inspection procedures are being followed to verify conformance to specifications.
- Generates inspection instructions from drawings, interprets specifications and job orders to workers, and assigns duties.
- Maintains quality control records, certifications, calibration and material review records.
- Issues reports with interpretations and recommendations.
- Acts as a liaison for quality control with SQE’s, suppliers and customers to assure control of quality for incoming and outgoing items.
- Trains employees to efficiently and effectively perform job function.
- Recommends measures to improve inspection methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
- Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of department.
- Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
- Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems.
- Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
- Ensures proper level gauging by estimating number needed, requisitioning or repairing.
- Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.
- Supervise quality and calibration technicians as assigned.
