Client: U.S. Naval Forces Southern Command/U.S. Fourth Fleet
Overview: ITSC is providing provide Information Technology, Knowledge Management, Administrative, Maintenance, Travel and Planning support services to the U.S. Naval Forces Southern Command/U.S. Fourth Fleet Staff located at Naval Station Mayport, Jacksonville, FL.
We are seeking a skilled Maritime Planner in support of the USNAVSOUTH/FOURTHFLT mission. This position requires hands-on experience in and understanding of the tactical and operational utilization of fleet maritime forces.
Qualifications: Planning experience required for this position:
- Special Qualifications Required: JQO, MSOC, JPME I, JPME II, AJPME, or MOPC.
- Minimum 5 years' military staff planning experience.
- Minimum 2 years in direct support of a Maritime Operations Center.
- Experienced in and understanding of the tactical and operational utilization of fleet maritime forces.
- Broad knowledge of foreign affairs, international and political environments, the role of other government agencies and key programs to include national security assistance and security cooperation.
Clearance:
- Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibilty
Work Location:
- Naval Station Mayport, Jacksonville, FL.
Description of Duties:
- Coordinate development and approval of fragmentary orders.
- Provide support to warfare areas, planning teams, and decision forums to leverage space force enhancements in the functional areas of ISR; missile warning; environmental monitoring; satellite communications; and space-based positioning, navigation and timing.
- Support operational planning teams using the Navy Planning Process in development of products to support specified mission planning.
- Provide air, surface, subsurface, amphibious and expeditionary warfare perspectives to operational-level planning for operations and security cooperation activities, branches to supporting plans, and for development of plan execution orders and directives within the maritime domain.
- Incorporate multidisciplinary warfare concepts of operations into operational plans.
- Integrating assessment measures of effect (MOE) and measures of performance (MOP) into the MOC's planning process.
- Develop and refine operational approach and design in planning, to include framing the problem; center of gravity analysis; development of objectives, effects, and key tasks; determination of decision points and decisive points; and identification of risk to force and risk to mission.
- Coordinate planning recommendations with the Maritime Planning Group.
- Identify adversaries' conditions that will impact the commander's objectives.
- Identify and develops desired and undesired effects, based on commander's intent and mission analysis.
- Support and assist joint/operational planning teams and working group for coordination between staff andcoalition or regional partner representatives for operations in the USSOUTHCOM AOR.
- Provide analysis and recommendations for USNAVSOUTH implementation and planning efforts involving joint, interagency, and multinational partners and allies.
